As a person concerned about my health, my family, and the Earth, I try to eat certified organic foods. While the U.S. Government has been trying to bastardize the organic certification, there are other equally compelling food-growing philosophies, like California Clean (which focuses on smaller farms) and Australia's Bio-Dynamic (which focuses on preserving the soil.)

Although some companies are publicly embracing GMs, most are quietly skirting the issue (even when they oppose their use). If the government ever gets their ass in gear, foods can be effectively tested and labeled.
